When sponsors like Graybar and trade associations like Independent Electrical Contractors come together to make paid, on-the-job training accessible – everyone benefits.

Today, we’re sharing a glimpse of the PPS training set where Donnie Montry, an Electrical Training Manager with PPS, leads classes for the IEC Apprenticeship Program. Available to PPS employees for in-person or virtual training, the curriculum is designed to help electrical apprentices earn while they learn. Upon completion of the 4-year program and obtaining the requisite college credits through the American Council on Education, PPS apprentices are eligible to apply and test for their Electrical Journeyman license.

Because of sponsors like Graybar and the high-caliber curriculum from IEC, PPS craft personnel can get access to training and certifications that advance their careers as apprentice electricians along their path to becoming electrical journey-workers.

Our team is appreciative of Graybar’s support, the continued collaboration from Natasha Sherwood at Independent Electrical Contractors, and our lead trainer Donnie Montry for spearheading the training. Interested in learning more about the IEC Apprenticeship Program?
