We are excited to welcome Jennifer Winkels to the PPS team! With a distinguished 20-year career in the U.S. Air Force and a wealth of experience in engineering and construction, Jennifer brings a unique skill set and perspective to her new role as Assistant Project Manager at PPS.
Originally from Warrensburg, Missouri, Jennifer enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 2004 and went on to serve in the Engineering Assistant specialty. Throughout her career, Jennifer completed four permanent duty stations, four overseas deployments, and numerous temporary assignments.
In addition to her service, Jennifer earned an associate’s degree in Construction Technologies from the Community College of the Air Force and is currently completing her bachelor’s in Project Management through Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. She has also earned certifications in contingency airfield pavement evaluations and as an Asphalt Paver Inspector through the Asphalt Institute in Kentucky.
Prior to joining PPS, Jennifer worked with the 823d RED HORSE Squadron at Hurlburt Field, FL, where she was responsible for project site surveys, GPS and conventional surveying, materials testing, and airfield pavement evaluations. RED HORSE specializes in providing self-sustaining, highly mobile civil engineering support in some of the most challenging environments, and Jennifer’s contributions to these operations have been invaluable.
What drew Jennifer to PPS is the company’s core values of tenacity, individuality, innovation, and ownership, which align closely with her personal work ethic. She was also impressed by the diverse range of projects at PPS and the supportive leadership team that encourages career growth. Jennifer’s long-term goal is to become a project manager, and she looks forward to developing her skills and experience with PPS in this capacity.
One of Jennifer’s favorite aspects of construction has always been watching a bare site transform into a fully realized and impactful project. This passion began in her younger years while working with Habitat for Humanity and continued through her 20-year military career. The satisfaction of working on challenging projects and meeting goals with a dedicated team has been a driving force throughout her career. As an Assistant Project Manager with PPS, Jennifer is excited to broaden her expertise and continue contributing to impactful projects.
We are thrilled to have Jennifer on board and look forward to the valuable contributions she will make as she continues to grow in her role at PPS.
