This diverse and talented group has recently completed our comprehensive 13-module training program. Designed to cultivate top-tier project management professionals in our industry, the PM program provides participants with a holistic overview of project lifecycles from inception to completion, along with an in-depth understanding of our industry, including our federal and renewable divisions.

PM participant Alexis Babos, Operations Coordinator, remarked, “The PM Training Curriculum was a great foundational experience. It was empowering to learn about not only this company and the interwoven departments that keep the wheels turning but also the world of contracting as a whole. I stepped away from the modules with a broader understanding of each department, each individual’s role, and how the entire company relies on each department’s success.”

The program is designed so that each module complements the previous one, providing a thorough educational experience while preparing participants for all aspects of project management. This journey culminates in a two-week, on-site Capstone experience, which allows participants to apply their newly acquired skills in a real-world setting.

Rick Waters, PPS Operations Analyst, expressed, “The curriculum helped me understand the roles and responsibilities of the distinct functions and business units within the organization. The presenters provided clarity on the technology and processes utilized in PPS. Each module was relevant to the intended PM audience, keeping the Cohort focused and upholding the Vision of ‘…surpassing expectations in all we do.'”

We believe our PM training is a reflection of PPS’s commitment to career advancement for aspiring team members. We believe it is incumbent upon us to offer every opportunity for professional and personal advancement to our team members so that they may grow perennially at PPS or develop the requisite skills to advance them personally for the remainder of their career.

Assistant PM/Proposal Manager Kerry Saltmarsh mentioned, “The PM course has filled in gaps in my corporate knowledge, particularly on the accounting side, and it has increased my understanding of how information flows through our organization. Understanding the various tasks handled daily by different people has increased our group’s overall efficiency. The in-depth presentations from various staff members showcased their impressive expertise.”

Madison Musco, Assistant Project Manager, added, “Coming to PPS with no construction background has been my biggest obstacle. While the online lessons were very helpful, being able to accompany project managers on-site has been invaluable. I’ve visited NAS Pensacola, Eglin, and Hurlburt to see projects firsthand, and it has significantly improved my understanding of the construction processes. Every department excellently covered every part of the project lifecycle, and I am thankful to everyone who helped me learn and grow as an employee.”
