At Panhandle Power Solutions, our crew are the foundation of every project, partnership, and purpose we pursue. This month, we’re proud to highlight Amanda Vickery, our Preconstruction Coordinator, whose dedication, adaptability, and commitment to teamwork have made her an invaluable part of the PPS family.

What Brought Amanda to PPS?

Amanda was initially drawn to Panhandle Power Solutions for the same reason many of our team members choose this path: a reputation for quality work, strong values, and a culture rooted in professionalism and community.

She shared, “I’ve always admired companies that take pride in what they do and support the people who make it happen. PPS feels like a place where teamwork truly matters and that’s where I thrive.”

She’s been with PPS for nearly 2.5 years, continuing to grow her role while helping strengthen the core processes that power our federal construction projects.

Her Role at PPS

Amanda is our Preconstruction Coordinator, a role that touches nearly every corner of the company.

Amanda explains it best: “I’m often referred to as a jack-of-all-trades or a Swiss Army knife. I bring together details from different departments, vendors, and clients to make sure everything is aligned long before a project even breaks ground.”

A Standout Accomplishment

One of Amanda’s proudest moments at PPS was coordinating nearly three physical years of preconstruction efforts, culminating in the submission of a Two-Phase, $99M MATOC proposal, which was ultimately selected by the government for award.

A win of that scale represents not just technical expertise, but countless hours of collaboration, organization, and perseverance.

Her Experience in a Traditionally Male-Dominated Field

Amanda’s perspective is grounded in teamwork and respect.

“Everyone has their own strengths. When we bring those together, whether in the field or the office, we get things done efficiently and support each other. My advice is to be reliable, respectful, and willing to learn. When you show you’re committed to the team’s success, people notice.”

What she Loves Most About her Team

For Amanda, PPS is defined by its people:

“Everyone looks out for each other. We all work hard, but we also know how to keep things positive. That balance makes even the busiest days easier.”

Her Approach to Challenges

Amanda leads with calm resilience, taking time to understand the root of any issue and collaborating with others to find the best path forward.

“Staying flexible and solution-focused makes all the difference.”

Motivation and Growth

Her motivation comes from knowing that her work makes a tangible impact. She consistently seeks opportunities to learn new skills, improve processes, and expand her understanding of the business.

“I enjoy taking on new challenges and finding ways to contribute more.”

Life Outside PPS

When she’s not orchestrating preconstruction efforts, Amanda is fully immersed in mom life as she travels for her daughter’s competitive cheer events. She also enjoys camping, boating, fishing, off-roading, and baking. Her favorite time of year is fall and winter, when family gatherings, holidays, and cozy traditions fill her calendar.

At PPS, we’re grateful for team members like Amanda who embody our values of tenacity, collaboration, and excellence. Her ability to connect teams, anticipate needs, and elevate our preconstruction efforts has made a lasting impact on both our internal operations and the clients we serve. We’re proud to celebrate her contributions and look forward to the growth, innovation, and leadership she’ll continue to bring to Panhandle Power Solutions.
